Joakinator: This is not your body!!!

In Ridley Scott's Blade Runner the replicants are almost indistinguishable from humans; a meticulous test is required to detect them. The replicants' bodies, as well as those of many other creatures in the film, carry the microscopic signature of the Tyrell Corporation. The replicants have launched an insurrection to claim the right over their bodies, their memories and their lives.

The Joakinator is a technological and performative device that lets us incorporate concepts into the performer's body and explore them through movement. Through this corporal device, the piece "Interfaz Cíborg: This is not your body!!!" explores the struggle for sovereignty over our own bodies, which has become a focal node at this moment.

The performance uses the Joakinator system fitted with muscle and pressure sensors, together with an A.I. system that translates the performer's movements into a control/uncontrol over various sonic materials.

Through the sonic and corporal exploration of different concepts, we experience in a sensitive way a journey through the struggle of belonging that our bodies play out today.
